Before you have any treatment at Face Matters, we’ll ask that you come in for a consultation where we can talk to you about your needs, lifestyle, budget, and any other factors that might influence what’s right for you.

We’ll take a full medical history and carefully analyse your skin before we make our recommendations based on what we think will give you the best results. This might be a different treatment or combination of treatments to what you have in mind. We’ll even tell you if we don’t think a treatment is suitable. The most important thing is that you are fully informed before you make any decisions.

We are passionate about providing non-surgical treatments that are minimally invasive and require little to no down time. The non-permanent nature of the treatments we offer allows us to tweak and refine them over time to give you the best results, and for us to adapt the treatments to your needs.

• Over 20 years’ experience

Dr. Gabi Tschoepe is the daughter of a prominent cosmetic surgeon so she grew up around professionals and thought leaders who were immersed in the ever-growing world of cosmetic surgery and facial aesthetics. She qualified with a distinction in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Wales Medical School in 1985 and went on to become a cosmetic dentist. More than 20 years ago, she began to expand her knowledge and qualifications to the area of facial aesthetics and has advanced training in treatments such as wrinkle reducing injections, dermal fillers, microsclerotherapy, skin peels, micro-needling, and prescription skincare.

Both your consultation and treatments are carried out by Dr. Tschoepe. She is a qualified dentist with extensive knowledge in facial anatomy.

Her treatment methods achieve natural results with minimal pain, bruising and downtime.

Face Matters is located within its partner clinic, Mouth Matters, on York Street in Chester. The clinic has either won or been shortlisted for multiple awards since its launch in 2002, including ‘Most Attractive Clinic’, and recently won a Certificate of Excellence from ThreeBestRated.

When you come into the clinic, you will find yourself in beautiful, welcoming surroundings where you can sit down and relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You’ll find stunning artwork and sculptures throughout the practice, and every feature has been designed for your comfort, safety and care.

• Safe in our hands

Patient safety is a priority at Face Matters. All staff undergo 12 monthly Basic Life Support training ; we have all necessary emergency equipment, drugs and oxygen.

Infection control is of greatest importance. The clinic houses a dedicated infection control facility and operative and we comply with the latest infection control legislation.

This is an ongoing process with regular reviews conforming with “best practice”. It is essential in our line of work and in other medical-based facilities, that Infection Control Education and training is taken and implemented daily for the safety of patients and staff.

The clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission and therefore underlies its stringent rules and regulations. Comprehensive inspections by the CQC will determine if our services are safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. The last inspection confirmed that we were found to be in full compliance with all relevant regulations.
